Apple has increased prices across several Mac, iPad, and smart home products as the global demand for AI infrastructure continues to put pressure on memory and storage supplies.
According to reports, popular devices including the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iPad Air, and iPad Pro are now more expensive. The company cited rising component costs, particularly memory and storage chips, as the main reason behind the price increases.
The base MacBook Air now starts at $1,299, while the MacBook Pro begins at $1,999. Apple’s iPad lineup has also seen price hikes, with the iPad Air increasing to $749 and the iPad Pro to $1,199.
Despite these changes, Apple has not increased iPhone prices yet. However, industry analysts suggest that future adjustments remain possible if supply chain pressures continue.
The growing AI boom has significantly increased global demand for advanced memory chips, forcing many technology companies to reconsider product pricing strategies. Analysts expect other PC and tablet manufacturers to follow a similar path in the coming months.
Apple says it is working to manage costs while maintaining product quality, but the ongoing AI infrastructure expansion continues to impact the broader consumer electronics market.
