Binance has launched Agent OS, a new platform that allows AI agents to analyze markets and execute cryptocurrency trades on behalf of users.
The move brings AI agents into real-money crypto trading, but users remain responsible for deciding what their AI agents can access and how much money they can control.
Binance Agent OS Gives AI Agents Trading Access
Binance’s Agent OS allows developers to connect AI applications and agents with Binance’s trading infrastructure.
The platform can work with tools such as ChatGPT, Codex, Claude Code and Cursor, giving authorized AI agents access to market information, account data and trading functions.
Agents can potentially monitor markets, analyze signals and execute trading strategies without requiring a user to manually place every order.
Users Control Agent Permissions
Binance is using dedicated sub-accounts as a key security layer.

Users can assign an AI agent to a separate account and decide what it is allowed to do. For example, permissions can be configured for spot or futures trading.
Withdrawals from these agent sub-accounts are blocked by default, according to Binance.
Users can also choose whether an agent needs approval before every trade or can execute trades automatically after its permissions have been configured.
However, Binance does not set a separate maximum loss limit for AI trading. The amount transferred into the agent’s sub-account effectively determines how much money the agent can control.
AI Trading Creates New Security Questions
One concern is that Binance has limited visibility into why an AI agent decides to make a particular trade.
The reasoning may happen inside the user’s computer or through an external AI application. This means Binance can observe the resulting transactions but may not know whether an AI decision was influenced by incorrect information or manipulation.
The company points to account permissions and existing security controls as important protections against risks such as compromised agents or prompt-injection attacks.
AI Agents Can Also Handle Payments
Agent OS is not limited to cryptocurrency trading.
Binance says developers can use the platform for market research, risk analysis, automated strategies and other financial tasks.
Its integrations also allow AI agents to interact with payments and blockchain-based applications. Binance’s Agentic Wallet can connect agents with tokens and decentralized finance services.
The company has established daily transaction limits for some of these wallet-based activities.
Binance Joins the Agentic Trading Race
Binance isn’t the only crypto exchange exploring AI-powered trading.
Other major exchanges, including Kraken, Coinbase and OKX, have introduced tools that allow AI applications and agents to interact with trading infrastructure.
The trend reflects a broader shift in AI from systems that simply provide information to agents capable of taking actions on behalf of users.
